Protein bars are a popular source of protein and energy, even healthier sweets on the go. Unfortunately, most products on the market don’t meet the standards of quality ingredients or delicious taste, and so they don’t give us their 100% potential. They are often full of soy, low quality protein and artificial sweeteners. As a result, they have an oversweetened, artificial taste and a rubbery or crumbly consistency. How we solved the complexity of the composition
Functional benefits are provided by whey protein, bovine collagen and a high fibre content. The great taste comes from natural ingredients, starring Fino de Aroma cocoa from Colombia, cashew butter and white yoghurt topping. To sweeten the frosting, we preferred a small amount of sugar and natural stevia over artificial sweeteners.
We used only essential and non-hazardous food-grade moisture stabilisers and toppings such as sunflower lecithin and glycerol in minimal amounts. They ensure that the bar does not lose its shape and freshness within a few weeks.
