What makes it unique?
The olive variety Frantoio originates from Italy, specifically from the region of Tuscany, and its name is synonymous with the word oil mill. This exceptional virgin olive oil is produced by the small family farm Deortegas in Spain. The oil has a vivid green colour, a velvety aroma and thanks to its unique flavour, has already received several awards. Acidity is ultra-low – 0,28 %. Quality is outstanding.
No fertilisers are used in cultivation — the only fertiliser is the residue from the oil production process itself. The olives are grown using the “dry farming” method, which ensures their high nutritional value, which is why the oil is packed with beneficial phytonutrients. Early hand-harvesting in mid-October ensures an exceptionally high polyphenol content (584 mg/kg), which gives this olive oil a wealth of health benefits.
