Palatinose™ (isomaltulose) is a carbohydrate with a low glycaemic index – it digests slowly, releasing energy over 3–4 hours. Consumption of foods/drinks containing isomaltulose instead of sugar induces a lower blood glucose rise after their consumption compared to sugar-containing foods/drinks.
