Children are always delighted by an original festive recipe. And you have certainly got used to us coming up with something interesting for you every year. This time it is brownie trees, in which we have also hidden a healthy secret the children do not even need to know about. ?
Why is our brownie a good choice for children?
Because thanks to it they “secretly” eat a healthy vegetable that many of them would not touch otherwise. At the same time you give them a favourite sweet treat – chocolate – but in a better-quality version. A lot of the cacao commonly available on the market is subject to oxidation and often contains aflatoxins. That is why we chose the highest quality (the Criollo variety).
Method:
- Cook the beetroot, let it cool and blend it. Cook a little more than you need so that you end up with exactly 125 g.
- Melt the chocolate with the ghee butter in a bain-marie and leave it to cool.
- Meanwhile mix the flours with the baking powder and cacao, and in a separate bowl whisk the eggs with the sugar.
- Then add the beetroot and the chocolate mixture to them and blend until smooth.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ones with a spatula and pour the batter into a tin about 24×24 cm.
- Bake the brownie at 180 °C for about 35 minutes. Check with a skewer (it must come out of the batter dry and not sticky).
- Let the brownie cool and cut it into triangles. Pour Powerlogy Pistacchio cream over them and stick a gluten-free wafer straw or a salted stick into each one to represent the “tree trunk”.
