You may already have heard about the wrap challenge that is doing the rounds on international sites right now. We decided to give it a go too — in a slightly different version, of course, one that also works for people with allergies and for everyone who eats well.
Why is our wrap the better choice?
We swapped the wheat tortilla for a home-made gluten-free tortilla made from quality single-ingredient flours. For the filling we used our premium chocolate products combined with fruit.
Why you don’t have to compromise on taste
Our creams are an ideal choice for anyone trying to stay in shape and eat well who still likes something sweet. What you put inside the tortilla is entirely up to you. You can use seasonal fruit (apples with cinnamon work brilliantly) and equally one of our other creams (pistachio goes beautifully with a mix of forest fruit).
Method:
- Mix the flours, add a little baking powder and a pinch of salt, then pour in the water. Work it into a dough.
- Flour the work surface generously with rice flour each time and roll out the thinnest tortillas you can. This batch makes 2 larger or 3 smaller ones (depending on the size of your pancake pan).
- Heat the pan well, brush it with ghee butter and cook the tortillas on it (a couple of minutes on each side). Leave to cool.
- Lay the tortilla out flat, make a cut halfway across it (see the video) and fill it with strawberries, banana, chopped chocolate and nougat cream. Fold it over and toast the wrap in the pan for a few seconds on each side.
