Raw bars to grab and go

Do you know that feeling when it is hotter in the kitchen than it is outside? In summer, cakes and baked sweets are therefore often replaced by no-bake ones and by all sorts of ice creams. You will already find recipes for homemade ice cream and various no-bake treats on our blog, but today we have come up with another one for you. After all, at this time of year you can never have too many. 😉

Why do we choose these bars?

Because they are ready in no time, no-bake (raw), with no added sugar and suitable for vegans and for people with allergies. The sweetness from the dates harmonises nicely with the bitterness of the chocolate, and it is quite possible that half a bar at a time will be plenty to see off your craving for something sweet.

How are ours different from the commercial, shop-bought ones?

Only quality ingredients are used in them – unsulphured coconut, organic cashews, premium date paste (you can also use medjool dates), high-percentage chocolate and no other added substances. Besides that, thanks to its unique composition our Powerlogy Cashew Cream 330 g contains a high amount of monounsaturated fatty acids, which are an ideal source of energy for the body. That is why these bars are an obvious choice in the mountains, for example, when you need to “recharge your batteries” on a hike.

Method:

• Finely chop the nuts, seeds and coconut in a food chopper.
• Add the cashew cream, coconut oil and syrup to this mixture.
• Work the mixture by hand and then press it into raw bar moulds.
• Meanwhile melt the chocolate (3 – 4 squares are enough) and spread a thin layer over the top of the bars.
• Then put them in the fridge to set. This batch makes 4 bars.

Extra tip:

For an adults-only version use 90 % chocolate. For the “travel version” you can leave the chocolate out so that it does not melt.
