Fancy something sweet, but do not want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen making it?
Take inspiration from our quick recipe for tasty, wholesome energy balls. Their sweetness and hazelnut-chocolate taste come from our nougat, which is full of healthy fats, so this snack keeps you going for longer.
You can make them and keep them in the fridge, though be warned – they will not last long in there, they are that good!
Method:
- Put the rolled oats, cacao and a pinch of salt into a blender.
- Blend until the mixture is ground finely enough.
- Add the dates and Powerlogy nougat cream.
- Blend until all the ingredients come together properly and form a firm dough.
- Add coconut oil if needed.
- Line a tray with baking paper.
- Once the mixture is blended, scoop up small amounts of the dough and shape them into balls.
- To taste, drizzle some of the balls with melted, good-quality 70% chocolate, or roll them in crushed nuts or cacao powder.
- Serve the finished balls lightly chilled and keep them in the fridge until they are eaten.
