Strength. Energy. Focus. 5 g + Q10 New creatine

We asked ourselves 5 essential questions. Get inspired along with us.

21 min. reading

The people who work at Powerlogy and who make it possible for you to sip good coffee in the morning, or spread nougat on sourdough bread, are also people with their own dreams, plans and, above all, attitudes that we find very inspiring.

We were curious what they strive for outside working hours and where they are headed, so — also on the occasion of entering a new year — we asked everyone in the team the same 5 questions:

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?
2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?
3. What brings a boost into your life?
4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?
5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

And what came up most often in the answers?

Our colleagues want to feel more energy in 2022. They want to experience inner joy, to live and work in harmony with themselves. When asked whether they have any tricks for keeping balance in life, it is no surprise that many answered: good food, quality sleep, coffee, nature, a longing for freedom and love for others.

And listening to myself. Liking myself.
First of all I have to be happy myself, so that I can help and make the people around me happy. It sounds like a cliché, but that is how it is and it is genuinely hard.

What do we want to give up as a team? Many want to give up the fear of failure, slipping into the victim role, judging and comparing. Someone wants to give up sugar and cheating on their diet; someone else nothing at all, because they know that everything that comes into their life has its reason. Many want to reduce negative thoughts. “After all, a person can do anything they believe in.” We are convinced that every single one of us, you included, can be inspiring to those around you. Answer the questions along with us and ask them of the people around you too. In the rush of the days we often forget to pause and think about our lives in depth.

Dušan Plichta, CEO

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?

I want to feel that I act out of love and not fear. That I feel enough energy and inner joy, clarity of mind and calm. To feel that I am on my path of realising a vision of a life in creativity and flow and that I share my talent and abilities with people so that we make the world around us better.

2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?

To cultivate my strength, especially in emotional intelligence and using emotions for positive impact and for handling various demanding situations. At the same time my goal is to cultivate a mindset for optimistic realism, creativity, learning and joy in life. To carry my insights from my head into my body too, above all in my role as husband, father and, in a certain way, father of Powerlogy. And then to share my life insights with people through a book, blogs, a newsletter and social media, and so encourage people to build a life according to their own ideas, in health, love, creativity and joy.

3. What brings a boost into your life?

An ice bath, coffee with butter, chocolate, skiing, sport, writing, creativity, reading, sun, nature, breathing, meditation, cooking, sex, philosophising, coaching, a good beer and wine, quality sleep, adventures with the children, discovering new things, connection with my wife.

4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?

Meditation and becoming aware of what my body and soul need. The mind decides, and it needs to be brought into line with inner values away from external influences, cleared of the layers on top and returned to the essence of being. So my challenge is to get out of my head and into my body and into the present every day. My head is mostly in the future, or jumps into the past through certain cellular memories that get activated in relationships with the environment and with people.

5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

I want to give up slipping into the victim role and the childish ego, which is not always a servant but sometimes starts to rule. I also want to give up cheating on food, sport and my overall routine, when I sometimes do not respect my body and load it up and then it has to recover. I also want to give up the thoughts that I am not good enough and that I do not have enough income in the company, enough knowledge, abilities and so on.

Lucia Plichtová, Brand Experience & HR Director

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?

I want to be happy regardless of how I feel. And I have already made that decision, so I am happy 🙂 And I want to feel however I will need to feel. I believe that in order to feel love, it is sometimes necessary to feel frustration and anger too. To feel “good” I also need to feel “bad”.

2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?

To live and work in the greatest possible harmony with myself.

3. What brings a boost into your life?

People (though by mistake I first wrote Lucia — that will be no coincidence). A boost comes to me from everything I myself decide will give me a boost. Sometimes it is people, sometimes it is solitude. Sometimes it is good food, other times it is fasting. And then there are things like a spoonful of Powerlogy pistachio cream, or a glass of prosecco or blackcurrant wine with a friend, which give me a boost every time 🙂

4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?

I regularly reflect on whether what I am doing is in harmony with me and I ask myself what I need at this stage of life. And then I try to arrange my life that way. I live by the motto: “I can do anything I want” and it is only in my hands how I fulfil it.

5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

I want to give up prejudice, judging, comparing, condemning.

Diana Lackovičová, Customer Experience Lead

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?

My feelings are not set on how I want to feel, but on how I actually feel each day and in each situation 🙂 I have no goals in that direction, only to be able to accept every day and every feeling, whether I perceive it as positive or negative 🙂

2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?

Ooh, these are slightly difficult questions for me, since I naturally function more day to day than by setting specific goals. In my personal life I have more of a wish than a goal — that all my loved ones are healthy and content, myself included 🙂 At work, to develop the Customer Care/Experience department and help create the value of Powerlogy.

3. What brings a boost into your life?

Life itself 🙂 My loved ones, work, good food, culture, nature, time for myself.

4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?

Knowing that nothing lasts forever 🙂 And the years adding up — I see those as the greatest added value in trying to keep balance in life. And of the worldly things it is sleep, healthy food and peace of mind.

5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

I do not want to give up anything 🙂 I know that everything that comes into my life has its reason.

Zuzana Káčeriková, Customer Experience & Warehouse

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?

Happy, more confident, balanced, fit.

2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?

At work I would like to be more organised and better at setting priorities, and I would also like to spend fewer hours a day at the computer, even though that conflicts with my job 😀 I would like to devote more time to myself, “me-time” is very important and last year I really neglected it.

3. What brings a boost into your life?

Travelling, which I miss enormously, and other people’s life stories and successes.

4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?

I am still trying to work that out myself, and maybe this year I will manage it 🙂

5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

Compulsive cleaning at home 😀

Zuzana Kozinová, Product Development Specialist / Project Manager

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?

GREAT! 😀 feel free, as they say.

2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?

2021 was probably the hardest year for me so far. Emotionally very demanding and a turning point. Covid alone in a foreign country, moving 4 times, I moved back from Portugal, changed jobs, bought a flat, sold a flat, found a partner. At a certain moment I realised that I knew what everyone around me wanted and did not know what I wanted. I started listening to myself, working with a coach, and realised that I have everything, I just have to know how to use it. Learning that is my personal goal from now on too.

I set my priorities again and that is why I chose to work at Powerlogy. I have a job in a company that is guided by the same values as I am. I work on something I believe in and thanks to that I do not live just for the weekends. That was and still is my work goal.

3. What brings a boost into your life?

Life and working with people who believe in me, and probably also the classic simple „thank you” from others — that always gives a boost 🙂

4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?

Nature! And listening to myself and liking myself. First of all I have to be happy myself, so that I can help and make the people around me happy. It sounds like a cliché, but that is how it is and it is genuinely hard 🙂

5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

2 kilos! 😀 Fear! Not being afraid to give up things and people who do not care about me.

Vladimír Virčík, Finance Director

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?

In 2022 I am going to feel happy. I have decided that I will be happy and I am looking forward to the new challenges that 2022 brings me.

2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?

At work: a 100% integrated ERP system from goods receipt through orders to dispatch. Personally: specially dedicated time every week for each child and for my wife [1h/person].

3. What brings a boost into your life?

A longing for freedom and love for others.

4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?

Building habits around certain activities that move me forward (exercise/prayer/reading). A firm daily routine — up at 5:00, in bed at 22:00, mindfulness and increasing efficiency at work and at home.

5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

I want to give up sugar.

Simona Podmanická, CFO Support

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?

Kindly, healthily and gratefully.

2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?

To learn new things, to move forward, not to get stuck in the past and to enjoy the present. And to travel! I definitely want to travel more again and get to know new places and cultures.

3. What brings a boost into your life?

The people around me. I am currently at a place in life where I have wonderful people around me and I am very grateful for that. It is also very uplifting for me to spend time in nature, because nature is love! But good chocolate and coffee are not to be sniffed at either ?

4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?

Listening to my body and soul.

5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

Neglecting sport!

Viera Maradová, Sales and Account Manager SK + CZ

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?

Definitely better than I have felt in recent months. I would like to find inner and outer peace, contentment with life and with my health.

2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?

At work, to find my “fire”, to wake up again with enthusiasm and joy from work that pleases and fulfils me; and in my personal life there is certainly plenty too, but besides the wish to sort out all the serious family matters I would like to marry the most wonderful man in my life.

3. What brings a boost into your life?

Meaningful work that I love and that fulfils me and in which I do well, and above all working family relationships and the health of my loved ones. What takes it away, on the other hand, is human stupidity, spite and the embodiment of all that in the form of social networks, which I plan to cut back almost entirely and devote myself to “personal networks” instead.

4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?

I have never thought about it, since I am older than the other colleagues who get these questions, but a sense of responsibility towards my nearest and dearest has saved me from silly thoughts several times. I have a great family and friends, so if my balance is disturbed, they know it before I diagnose it myself and they always bring my balance back to normal. And I also have a great dog and soon my first granddaughter in the world. That is the centre of my universe.

5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

As I have already written, social networks as far as possible, my handicap in English, losing energy on trivialities and therefore also my freedom and my surname 🙂

Emma Jozefčíková, Space&Coffee Manager

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?

In 2022 I want to feel balanced and content, to accept all the new challenges and changes life brings me.

2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?

At work my goal this year is to move things forward, to be more determined and more assertive, to reach the goals we have set. In my personal life I do not set special goals, mainly I want to be happy and at ease with every decision of mine.

3. What brings a boost into your life?

Coffee 😀

4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?

I have no tricks or hacks.

5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

I do not want to give up anything.

Michal Dodok, Marketing Director

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?

This year I want to feel joyful. Not because I would need to do less, not because I feel like resting — on the contrary, I have the drive to achieve more. What I want to change is the approach of my autopilot. From the words “I must” to “I can”. To enjoy every thing I do and to be aware of gratitude.

2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?

I will be more of a father, more of a husband. What has been very hard for me so far is processing strong emotions and expressing them. For me a strong emotion is a threat to my life and fear. Why? That is a debate for another time, but this awareness alone will move my family life, and my working life too, to a better level. At work I am part of a strong change that Powerlogy is bringing to Slovakia. I wish for Powerlogy to be seen more and understood more than it has been so far.

3. What brings a boost into your life?

Awareness of what I have in life and what I have been given. I find the concept of gratitude appealing; I even heard on the radio that a certain psychologist claims gratitude supports intelligence. So I wish myself and this nation more everyday gratitude. Otherwise, a boost comes to me from any combination of taste and function. In that respect, as far as Powerlogy goes, I am in the right place.

4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?

My themes are emotions and movement. Saying honestly how I feel and being truthful with myself about it is healing, and even the hard topics of life are then taken more lightly, whether at work or in marriage. For this year I wish for more movement; I like discovering new corners and combined with sedentary work it is the ideal balance.

5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

I am giving up for good the fear of failure, pretence and staying in uncomfortable feelings. But also, for example, compromises on my priorities. Does that sound too strange? Maybe, but at least I know what I am talking about. So Michal from 2023, I trust you nailed it and are proud of me. See you in a year, I wish you plenty of strength and a joyful ride.

Filip Furek, E-commerce Specialist

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?

I want to feel steadily good.

2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?

At work, to achieve “something more”, to progress. Personally, to get out into nature and to the theatre more often.

3. What brings a boost into your life?

A big boost is when the things I do have meaning. And also a few close people around me.

4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?

Doing things properly. Then I do not have to redo them or wonder whether they are good enough. And that contentment brings free time for rest or anything else.

5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

I have no such plan. But I would cut back on second-guessing (in the bad sense) — we all do it automatically, but it often does not do human relationships any good.

Petra Laurová, Social Media & Community Manager

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?

In 2022 I want to feel ALIVE 🙂 what does that mean? Alive in the sense of meeting and getting to know new people, improving relationships with the people I know, doing my utmost for myself in terms of health (physical and mental), knowing how to rest and progressing at work (maybe thanks to Powerlogy) — in short, being literally ALIVE.

2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?

I think I answered that in the previous answer. That is simply ME, I always talk a lot and often answer seemingly simple questions at length, including within other questions. But anyway, the quick answer — to progress at work, to educate myself, to build new and promising relationships 🙂 Personally, to be in physical and mental balance, to be alive 🙂

3. What brings a boost into your life?

At the moment I see a boost in an interesting new job, in getting back into physical shape (after a running injury), and overall the feeling that a new year has begun which has opened up to us and it is up to us how we work with it motivates and encourages me 🙂

4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?

The ultimate most important part of every one of my days is a wholesome, tasty, sweet POWER BREAKFAST (for which I have no problem getting up an hour earlier, and to which I devote a considerable share of my thoughts the evening before), so the answer is — breakfast combined with 10,000 steps in my favourite trainers with the sun (that is very important!) on my heels — my clear and tested recipe for life (LIVING) BALANCE.

5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

In 2022 I want to reduce (not remove entirely, since that is impossible) negative thoughts, both in myself and in my loved ones. After all, a person can do anything they believe in.

Dávid Vepy, Marketing Executive

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?

In 2022 I feel joyful, content, healthy, determined and I have financial abundance. I write it in the present tense, because that is my intention not only for 2022 but for life as such.

2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?

I do not set goals; I rather let life bring me what it is meant to bring me at any given moment. And whether they are positive or negative situations, they came in order to teach me something and move me a step further. As I mentioned, I set an intention, and my intention is that I am healthy, happy, content, that I have work I enjoy, that I have financial abundance and a smile on my face.

3. What brings a boost into your life?

What gives me a boost is that I get to be and to live at all. 🙂 That I have a great family and children, that I have friends I can rely on and of course a good “cuppa”. ?☕

4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?

A planned calendar helps me keep balance in life. And I do not plan only work into it but also my hobbies and sources of energy — the things I love and that bring me joy, such as photography, exercise, reading a book and so on.

5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

I cannot answer this exactly, because I do not think about it that way at all. ? Things that do not serve me and are not for my good I let go of as I go along, whenever I notice it is time to let go.

Matúš Kubica, Graphic & Product Designer

1. How do you want to feel in 2022?

Like in other years 🙂 Resolutions and some imaginary new line arriving with the new year are complete nonsense to me. When a person wants to change, prove or improve something, they do not need a new year for it. It is enough to wake up in the morning and start doing it, regardless of whether it is Saturday 3 July or 1 January 🙂

2. What is your goal this year at work and in your personal life?

At work a great deal of work and challenges await me, mainly in smoothly securing and preparing the brand redesign. It is a big responsibility, but at the same time I am delighted by it, because it will open up greater creative possibilities for the future and for the brand itself, and move it a level or two higher 🙂 Personally, every year I started with the same goal — to learn to swim 😀 And 2021 was the year I was learning it, but I did not enjoy it, so I half know how. I will not be joining the coastguard. And to find a greater sense of calm within myself and swap some of my not-so-good traits, or eliminate them entirely, and be a better person for those around me. But there is no formula for that in it being a new year. I work on that every day, ignoring the numbers in the date.

3. What brings a boost into your life?

When I see that my work or my actions have a positive impact on people. When I can help someone else in any way, even just lift their mood. But also when I mess something up and it shows me how to improve it or not make that mistake again. It is probably a bit of a cliché, but in the end that is how it is 🙂

4. What are your tricks/hacks for keeping balance in life?

Whenever one of those “dark periods” comes, I try to select the good and positive things that happened at that moment, even if it is a complete triviality. And then I pile more and more little things onto it, and somehow that always steamrolls the bad mood and feelings. So it is not always 100% successful, but it works most of the time 🙂 Or I buy another Lego 😀

5. What do you want to give up in 2022?

Give up probably nothing. I have rather added things in recent weeks 🙂 I have intensified my training, balanced my diet even more and I am becoming more active in terms of movement. But that came organically over time; again, I did not need a new year for it 🙂
